ST-LINK/V2 is a debugger and programmer for the STM8 and STM32 family microcontrollers. The programmer uses the SWIM (Single Wire Interface Module) and JTAG/SWD (Serial Wire Debugging) interfaces. The STM8 or STM32 microcontroller must be placed on the application board. STM8 applications use the USB Full Speed interface to communicate with ST Visual Develop (STVD) or ST Visual Program (STVP) software. They also use the Full Speed USB interface to communicate with the integrated development environments of Atollic, IAR, Keil or TASKING.
